Description:
Resolve Birth Services, LLC is seeking a part-time staff Certified Professional Midwife to join our dedicated and compassionate team.

Enhance Practice Performance: By providing hands-on support, you’ll help achieve our client’s health, safety, environmental, and sustainability objectives.
Drive Best Practices: You’ll lead the sharing of best practices to all of our clients, ensuring consistent and effective approaches to common challenges.
Standardize Solutions: Your contributions to standardized solutions will improve risk reduction and proficiency, supporting our mission to enhance positive perinatal outcomes.
Continuous Improvement: Collaborating with our team, you’ll drive continuous improvement through the development of programs, policies, practice guidelines and procedures.
Preceptorship and Development: By precepting and mentoring our protocols and resources, you’ll identify opportunities for growth and professional development.
Peer Review: You’ll participate in the review process and development of continued personal and professional enhancement through group collaboration.
Effective Communication: Executing communication objectives, you’ll align Resolve Birth Services’ efforts and mission with community expectations and our premier model of birth care, enhancing overall effectiveness.
Responsibilities
To be successful in this role, you will need the following:
Resilience: Deep understanding of the role and responsibilities of a certified professional midwife. The ability to rebound from setbacks and adversity, maintaining focus and determination in difficult situations.
Proficiency: Education and experience in both holistic and medical midwifery models; excellent charting and documentation skills.
Effective Team Building: Skills to build strong-identity teams that leverage diverse skills and perspectives to achieve common goals.
Collaboration: Proficiency in building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.
Effective Communication: The capability to develop and deliver multi-mode communications that clearly address the unique needs of individual clients.
Innovation: A knack for cultivating new and better ways for the organization to be successful.
Engagement and Results: With a compassionate and empathetic nature, the incumbent shall promote the drive to create a motivating climate where people are inspired to do their best, consistently achieving results even under tough circumstances.
Trauma-Informed: The awareness and ability to provide trauma-informed care to a diverse population.
Respect and Awareness: Understanding the cultural and individual beliefs of diverse races, ethnicities, family situations, neurodiversity as well as conservative Christian, Jewish and Muslim faiths.
Education, Licenses, Certifications:
Commonwealth of Virginia midwifery license (or obtain licensure within 3 months of hiring date).
Certified Professional Midwifery (CPM) certification.
CPR and NRP certification (recertified prior to expiration).
Requirements:
Compliance with all state and federal health worker laws and regulations.
Attend births in home environments and birth suite locations.
Currently a NARM preceptor or willingness to become one.
Currently a Medicaid provider or willingness to become one.
Commitment to 8 clinic days/month.
6 on-call days per month.
Participation in a shared practice that attends 6-8 births per month.
Weekly Grand Rounds (virtual).
Monthly in-person skills and drills training.
Committed to a three-month probationary period with an additional midwife attending appointments and birth.

Additional Information:
Location: This is an onsite role; however, the ideal candidate will reside within a one-hour or less commute.
Travel Requirements: Midwife must provide their own reliable transportation. Must be willing to travel as necessary to fulfill mission requirements.
Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience as a certified professional midwife; open to newly certified/licensed midwife.
Environmental Expertise: Strong background or experience in current midwifery practices.
Technical Proficiency: Must be adept in EHR programs, online charting, able to read and interpret labs and ultrasound reports.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication and public speaking abilities with experience in counseling skills, empathy, shared decision-making skills, informed consent and teaching.
